Holidays in amazing San Agustin: World Heritage for Humanity
This wonderful place is full of huge unique ancient sculptures carved out of solid rock and has been declared World heritage for Humanity by the Unesco in the year 1995. This is a magic place where you will feel transported to a different world back in time. Visit the Park of San Agustin parting from the city of Neiva. After visiting Neiva and the thermal baths nearby, walk through the fantastic Tatacoa dessert composed of a huge, amazingly folded, red dessert landscape, guided by our expert local guide. We will thereafter take a look at the town Gigante, viewing its beautiful tree full of orchids.
A tour on horseback, a trip through a beautiful landscape with great views including impressive waterfalls and the origin of the Magdalena River, a visit to the ethnologic museum, exciting rafting trips are a few of the exciting options in this region. Enjoy typical local Andean music by the fireplace after sunset. For larger groups we can arrange courses of local pottery and you can join a group to learn creating local music instruments. An additional option is visiting the Betania hydroelectric facility.
